CHATEAU DE SAINT LOUP

A few years back, we had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Château de Saint-Loup-sur-Thouet, and honestly, we were blown away. If ever there was a place that makes you pinch yourself when you arrive, this is it. Some places leave you breathless even before you step foot in them. From the moment you pull up, the château’s grandeur is undeniable. The gardens are huge and beautifully restored; the kind that make every moment outside feel cinematic. You wander through wide lawns, ancient trees, and those classic French formal gardens, all of it framed by the soft light just when it matters most.

Inside, the interiors are moody, refined, and so full of character. One of our favorite rooms is the great historic hall with the massive fireplace, that hearth could hold a thousand stories. The stone, the wood, the way light moves in, the shadows dance, every texture calling for a photo. It’s the kind of room where you feel the past and present together. One thing that really stood out was the hospitality. The hosts made everyone feel more than welcome. Every detail seen to, every concern addressed. There’s a warmth to the way they run things that turns a beautiful venue into a place that feels like home, even if just for a weekend.

And then, there’s the experience itself. Impeccable five-star service, a culinary journey that delights every sense, and an elegance that is both effortless and deeply personal. Every little detail feels carefully curated, yet nothing feels forced.

Photographing weddings here is a dream. You get these raw moments under trees, golden hour spilling across stone, laughter echoing in grand rooms. And in those quieter moments, that fireplace room becomes this intimate corner of elegance surrounded by history. For us, Borgo Santo Pietro was one of those dream venues – one we had admired, always hoping that one day, we’d get to capture its magic through our lens. When we got the opportunity to photograph an engagement session for C&P at Borgo Santo Pietro, we couldn’t have been more excited. It felt like a dream coming to life. Manifestation truly works!

We had seen countless photos of this extraordinary place, but nothing truly prepared us for the feeling of actually being there. The moment we passed through the gates, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of pure tranquility. It’s hard to describe, but Borgo Santo Pietro has a way of slowing time. You feel it in the gentle breeze through the cypress trees, in the scent of blooming flowers, in the soft golden light that makes everything feel like a painting.

And then, there’s the experience itself. Impeccable five-star service, a culinary journey that delights every sense, and an elegance that is both effortless and deeply personal. One of the most unforgettable moments? Witnessing the sunrise at San Galgano, just a short bike ride away. Standing there in the soft morning light, surrounded by centuries of history, felt like stepping into another world—one where time stands still, if only for a moment.

Even as photographers who have been fortunate to capture love stories in the most incredible places, Borgo Santo Pietro left us in awe. It’s more than just a venue—it’s an experience, a feeling, a place that lingers in your heart long after you leave. We are certain that this incredible florist needs no introduction, but allow us to briefly share our experience with her. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to collaborate with the amazing and talented floral designer Perrine and her exceptional company MISS ROSE BY PERRINE on three weddings in the South of France. Twice, we met at the renowned Villa Ephrussi De Rothschild and once at Chateau de Castellaras.

We remember that it was a great collaboration from the very first second. What stuck in our memory were not only the beautiful arrangements, bouquets, and overall design but also Perrine’s amazing, friendly, and always smiling face. Perrine and her team are now world-famous florists working on the most luxurious weddings in France. We are truly happy for her and proud that we could capture her art through our photos.

Damien Keys

We have a lot in common with our clients, and one of those things is our shared love for good music. The right choice of music on the wedding day is truly a big dealbreaker. But it’s not just about the music itself—the sound system and the entertainment stage play a huge role in creating an unforgettable experience for both the couple and their guests. A well-set stage and high-quality sound can take the party to another level, making every beat and lyric feel even more immersive.

That’s why we are always so excited to collaborate with the talented British DJ, Damien Keys. At every wedding where we’ve met this curly-haired Brit, the party atmosphere has been incredible. But Damien’s talent doesn’t stop there. His company also provides top-tier musical equipment for other wedding bands, ensuring that every performance runs seamlessly. The Experience at Villa Le Fontanelle

We’ve been dreaming of photographing a wedding at Villa Le Fontanelle for years, and it finally happened! This venue, located in the hills just outside Florence, is everything you’d want for a romantic Italian wedding.

From the moment we arrived, we could see why couples fall in love with this place. One of the things we really loved about Villa Le Fontanelle is its layout. The property is spread out over different levels, which made each part of the day feel unique. For example, the cocktail hour was held on a terrace with amazing views of the hills, just as the sun was setting. It created such a great vibe and a smooth flow for the whole celebration.

As the sun set and the reception kicked off, guests enjoyed an amazing view of Florence lit up at night. The city’s lights and historic skyline created such a beautiful backdrop and added to the romantic vibe of the evening.

The views at Villa Le Fontanelle are something we won’t forget. During golden hour, the soft light over the hills made the setting even more stunning and gave the photos a warm, natural glow. This post is a bit different from the others on our blog, but we wanted to take a moment to highlight a remarkable project that recently left a lasting impact on us. We had the privilege of participating in a course by Easton Events called The Planners Code, and we have to say—it’s been a true milestone in both our careers and personal lives.

The Planners Code is a course crafted by top-tier wedding planner who is among the most renowned and influential vendors in the luxury wedding industry. Directed by Lynn Easton through Easton Education, this program is absolutely unique in offering insights you won’t find anywhere else, taught by the very best in the field. In The Planners Code, we learned the vital role that relationships with wedding planners play, what planners value most, and how to communicate seamlessly before, during, and after a wedding with all vendors to elevate your business to new heights.

 

The course is meticulously designed, offering a wealth of videos, assignments, and materials that serve as an incredible resource, unavailable through any other platform. Beyond the course content, we had the chance to connect with talented planners participating in The Easton Approach, Easton Education’s other flagship course, establishing meaningful relationships for the future.

And the cherry on top? We had Zoom calls with industry icons we have admired for years: José Villa, Payton Frank, and Eric Kelley—who are, by the way, some of the most inspiring and humble people we’ve ever met.

 

This was our first experience with ultra-luxury weddings, and we initially felt a bit nervous and uncertain, with some misunderstandings. However, after completing the course, we gained something we didn’t expect: a strong belief that anything is possible and a newfound confidence to take our work to the next level.

Chateau De Sannes

There’s something so magical about mornings at Chateau de Sannes. As C&B’s wedding day began, the bride looked out over the pool and saw a swan gracefully gliding across the water. Isn’t that incredible? Moments like that make this place feel like a real-life fairytale. Oh, and did we mention the château even has a lake called Swan Lake 🕊️?

During our recent wedding we photographed at this exquisite venue, we were inspired by the serene ambience and the essence of French sophistication that permeates every corner of the estate. Our collaboration with the talented wedding planner Lucy Till French Weddings and the exquisite floral designs by Flower and Twig by Charlotte added layers of sophistication and beauty to the event.

Terre di Nano has become one of our absolute favorite venues, and after shooting over 10 weddings there, it truly feels like a second home to us. We know every corner of the property, from the best photo spots to the little hidden gems, and it’s always such a joy to return.

What makes Terre di Nano so special isn’t just the breathtaking views of Val d’Orcia (which are incredible!) but the amazing people who bring it all to life. Ilaria and Alessandra, the wonderful managers, and Chef Giorgio, who creates the most delicious meals, have become more like friends to us over the years.
