Colorful European Destination WeddingStyle Me Pretty

Colorful European Destination Wedding

From Bride…

We wanted our wedding to have a magical spark. Like something just out of Lord of the Rings. The lavish greenery with carefully picked flowers, the glimmering candlelight, the mix of colors, smoke coming out of cocktails, and soft piano music all played out to create an unforgettable atmosphere for all of us.

My husband and I both love nature. Therefore we chose a place set amid Slovak mountains surrounded by forests and rivers. The castle itself is packed with ancient charm. It is a beautifully renovated renaissance hotel with a gothic ruin in the middle and we immediately fell in love with it. Because of the historical settings where stone is omnipresent, we wanted to warm up the courtyard and so-called “Stone galley” by a combination of marsala, blackberry, powder and cream tones underlined by deep green. The flower arrangements were intricate, yet somehow negligent at the same time.

We gathered our guests one day in advance for an informal barbeque party. This simple act made all the difference, as the day of the wedding the people already knew each other and could fully enjoy the wedding itself. We didn’t care much about local conventions. We skipped the obligatory folk music and invited Beatles revival group and a punk rock band instead. We wanted everything to be the way we imagined and though it took months of planning, it was absolutely worth it.

An Intimate Destination Wedding In Ancient Ruins Of San GalganoStyle Me Pretty

An Intimate Destination Wedding In Ancient Ruins Of San Galgano

Whitney and Steven’s intimate destination wedding was what the dreams are made of. From saying the vows in ancient abbey of San Galgano, drinking Champagne among the Tuscan landscape and to an incredible al fresco reception full of emotions toasts by the family and their closest friends. They tie the knot in San Galgano, a roofless 12th-century abbey, on a warm and beautiful day in late September. They had rented an amazing venue called Villa La Selva in Tuscany, and there, under a sky of twinkling lights, they had the most spectacular dinner feast. The traditional Italian meal was served family style and wine flowed freely late into the night. Throughout the evening’s celebration, the people they love most in the world shared stories that made them laugh, made them cry, and left them feeling so incredibly blessed to have such amazing people share this truly remarkable day with them.

Honeymoon photos in Florence that make you dream of ItalyFlorence, Italy

Honeymoon photos in Florence that make you dream of Italy

The beautiful Jessica and Tony, who live in New York City, chose Italy for their honeymoon. They were also guests at a wedding in Tuscany that we shot! We love that wedding guests take advantage of having a professional photographer near at hand. They booked the beautiful Hotel Lucchesi for their trip in Florence. We immediately fell in love with views from the hotel rooftop. After we’d done some pictures with the incredible scenery, we went into the morning streets of Florence. If you plan a honeymoon here you should remember this hotel, because it’s very close to the center as well as to the Ponte Vecchio and Boboli Gardens.
