Chateau de Barbirey Wedding In Idyllic CountrysidePublished in Style Me Pretty

When we arrived for the enchanting Chateau de Barbirey Wedding  in Burgundy we hardly could believe how much beauty was all around us. Jacqueline and Gideon wanted a small and intimate wedding with close family and friends, so dreaming of a Chateau de Barbirey Wedding in the countryside sounded perfect.

They came all the way from California, Los Angeles to enjoy the beauty of France. They chose for their French Chateau Wedding a beautiful 17th-century castle located in the Burgundy region in France. The garden reminded a little of  English parks with the gooses near the small lake. From the hundred-year-old cobblestone streets to the French blue shutters on all 36 windows, this location seemed like a true fairytale.

Peter and Veronika were such a pleasure to collaborate with on my wedding day at Chateau De Barbirey. They had such a warm presence and eye for detail, that it made it comfortable and seamless while having our photos taken. My husband and I were so pleased with the outcome and couldn’t stop looking at the images.

What impressed us most, was their attention to detail and capturing candid and intimate moments between my family and friends. They captured moments that brought tears to my eyes and allows me to relieve that magical day. They are true artists and I highly recommend them to anyone!

High-Fashion Wedding Inspired By Movie La Dolce Vita

Inspiration for the day was definitely Fellini’s masterpiece La Dolce Vita. The challenge was to bring the black and white film into colorful real life wedding – make it a bit of a combination of the old La Dolce Vita movie spirit mashed with modern Dolce & Gabbana colorful editorials. We both love Italian fashion, food, wine and overall the way of life.  La Dolce Vita movie was a great source of inspiration for our key graphic visuals as well as our outfits. We wanted to have a wedding that will be completely different from the traditional weddings we have seen around us. Gladly we found a location that resembles a little bit the Italian countryside.

The tough part about the venue was to push back its “too romantic and rustic” atmosphere and give it the high-fashion and modern vibe we wanted. To make it our own wedding, we did as much as possible to cut off the formalities associated with the civil weddings in our country, such as impersonal speeches of the licensed officiant from the local municipality. Instead, we asked Lenka’s father to have a speech about us, right before we said yes to each other. Amazing speech that was, touching, sentimental but at the same time full of fun!
