Fine Art Film Wedding Photography Workshop By Peter And Veronika

When creating a concept of the Fine Art Film Wedding Photography Workshop, we were very excited about stunning old frescoes preserved at the main hall of Theresia Chateau. Fresco walls are painted in a remarkable muted pink and blue colours, with accents of menthol green and white. Such a colour combination led us to Claude Monet’s Water Lilies series that are of a similar nature. Thus Monet became a great inspiration for us. Monet’s paintings are full of flowers, nature and vivid life, but on the other hand they evoke a sense of peace. Although they are painted in oils, they remind watercolour effect.
Inspired by all these elements we ended up aiming to combine a beauty of nature and art. We have used seasonal spring flowers, especially lilacs, tulips and clematis. Soft calligraphy stationery with a touch of watercolour along with soft, fluffy textures and a gorgeous gown, were picked to create a peaceful impression and easy-going feeling from the overall design. We also tent to show that the nature is the biggest artist so flowers were tied in bouquets of irregular shapes creating a sense of natural motion, exactly alike the Monet’s paintings without repetitive patterns and symmetry.

High-Fashion Wedding Inspired By Movie La Dolce VitaGreen wedding shoes

High-Fashion Wedding Inspired By Movie La Dolce Vita

Inspiration for the day was definitely Fellini’s masterpiece La Dolce Vita. The challenge was to bring the black and white film into colorful real life wedding – make it a bit of a combination of the old La Dolce Vita movie spirit mashed with modern Dolce & Gabbana colorful editorials. We both love Italian fashion, food, wine and overall the way of life.  La Dolce Vita movie was a great source of inspiration for our key graphic visuals as well as our outfits. We wanted to have a wedding that will be completely different from the traditional weddings we have seen around us. Gladly we found a location that resembles a little bit the Italian countryside.

The tough part about the venue was to push back its “too romantic and rustic” atmosphere and give it the high-fashion and modern vibe we wanted. To make it our own wedding, we did as much as possible to cut off the formalities associated with the civil weddings in our country, such as impersonal speeches of the licensed officiant from the local municipality. Instead, we asked Lenka’s father to have a speech about us, right before we said yes to each other. Amazing speech that was, touching, sentimental but at the same time full of fun!
